In his address at the ceremony marking the 132nd anniversary of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Minister of Defence Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon stated that extensive efforts have been initiated following the President’s directives to rectify the diminished state of military affairs inherited by the current administration. In this regard, the Minister highlighted ongoing initiatives to upgrade operational hardware, improve military facilities, and modernize uniforms and safety equipment. Furthermore, the Minister underscored that President Dr. Muizzu accords the highest priority to upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Maldives, affirming the military’s unwavering commitment to realizing the President’s sincere national objectives.
