The extensive land reclamation project for the development of Sh. Milandhoo Airport, covering 21 hectares, has been successfully completed within a record duration of just 31 days. This significant feat was achieved using one of the world’s largest dredgers, the “Queen of the Netherlands.” While the project aims to develop a total area of 25.90 hectares, this initiative represents a key priority of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration to bolster the transport infrastructure and economic landscape of the Maldives. The completion of the reclamation phase marks a transformative milestone, paving the way for the social and economic advancement of the Milandhoo community.
