Minister of Finance, Moosa Zameer, has announced that a significant portion of the outstanding payments owed by the government and state-owned enterprises to private businesses has now been settled. The Minister noted that while payments for certain disputed invoices have been temporarily suspended following recommendations from the Auditor General, it remains a key policy of President Dr. Muizzu to expedite all legitimate payments to private parties. Furthermore, the Minister assured that the process of clearing these payments will continue uninterrupted once the issues surrounding the pending invoices are resolved.
