According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, the Maldives has welcomed over 1.3 million tourists so far this year. Although this reflects a 4.1% decline compared to the same period last year, current data for this month indicates a positive upward trend in arrival numbers. China, Russia, and the United Kingdom remain the primary source markets, with the majority of visitors opting for stays in resorts and guesthouses. Despite an initial slowdown attributed to regional instabilities in the Middle East, the Maldives is currently seeing a steady recovery, with an average of 5,964 tourist arrivals per day.
