Zameer highlighted that despite global financial challenges, the ‘CCC+’ rating maintained by Fitch Ratings for the Maldives signifies a high level of confidence in the government’s robust fiscal measures. Furthermore, while acknowledging the current Minister of Finance as the most capable individual for the role, Zameer assured his unwavering commitment to President Muizzu’s vision, despite the recent cabinet reshuffle. He also emphasized that the decisive actions taken by the President have effectively mitigated the immediate risks of sovereign default.
