To bolster the mariculture industry in the Maldives, the government has designated five strategic zones and introduced the “Mariculture Scheme” to provide financial assistance to prospective investors. These initiatives are expected to generate significant employment opportunities across the islands and facilitate increased national revenue from marine resources.
