MTCC has commenced efforts to strengthen the transport network in Villimale’ by deploying two eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs) from the newly launched “Male’ Taxi” line. This service, inaugurated by the President, will utilize two Lumi model taxis for operations within Villimale’.
The taxi service will be provided free of charge until the 9th of this month, and bookings can currently be made through the dedicated hotline, 1655. Utilizing modern technology, this service does not permit hailing taxis from the roadside; however, arrangements will be made in the future to facilitate bookings via a web application and a mobile app. This initiative is expected to provide passengers with enhanced safety and greater convenience in their travels.
