The number of tourists visiting the Maldives so far this month has increased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 172,487. However, the cumulative figure for the entire year remains 3.8% lower than the previous year. With an average of 5,996 daily arrivals, the majority of visitors originate from China and Russia. While a significant portion of tourists stay in resorts and guesthouses, there are currently 1,323 operational facilities providing a total capacity of 68,506 beds across the country.
