Speaking at the inauguration of the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) ATM in B. Goidhoo, Minister of Finance Hassan Zareer stated that the advancements in the financial sector should benefit all citizens, ensuring no island is left behind. The Minister highlighted that this expansion will provide significant convenience to the public and the growing guesthouse and tourism businesses across the islands. He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the nationwide expansion of Islamic financial services. MIB has recently launched ATM services in B. Goidhoo, Kendhoo, and Thulhaadhoo, and has also opened a new full-service banking branch in Eydhafushi.
