Mr. Mohamed Firaq, Managing Director of Inner Maldives, has announced that three new airlines are scheduled to begin operations to the Maldives for the upcoming winter season. This expansion includes two airlines from Asia and one from the Middle East. Mr. Firaq stated that specific flight details and schedules will be officially released once the remaining administrative formalities are completed.
Highlighting the continuous growth and potential of the Maldivian tourism sector, Mr. Firaq noted that while the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has led to a temporary decline in tourist arrivals, the government and industry stakeholders are working collaboratively to implement strategic measures to attract more visitors to the country.
