
Minister of Health Khaleel Ali has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration is undertaking the most hopeful and robust measures against tobacco compared to previous governments. Speaking at the ceremony marking World No Tobacco Day, the Minister highlighted that this government has implemented significant measures, such as the ban on vaping and the introduction of a “generational ban.” Furthermore, she noted that increasing awareness to protect future generations from the dangers of tobacco and the official launch of the national tobacco control campaign today are crucial steps toward safeguarding the nation from this menace.
