As elections must be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, the law stipulates specific regulations that the public and candidates must adhere to within and around polling stations. Accordingly, displaying candidates’ photographs, posters, or any campaign symbols in the polling area is prohibited, as is loitering in the vicinity after casting a vote. Furthermore, it is a legal offense to remove a ballot paper from the polling station or to bring any equipment capable of recording audio or video into the premises.

Acts such as influencing the election, intimidating officials, voting more than once, or impersonating another voter are serious offenses that carry severe penalties. Depending on the severity of the offense, individuals found committing such acts may face substantial fines and imprisonment. Additionally, placing anything other than an official, valid ballot paper into the ballot box is a punishable offense. Therefore, it is crucial for every citizen to remain vigilant and informed of these regulations to avoid unintentionally violating the law and facing subsequent legal action.
