Following the results of the by-election for the Hithadhoo North constituency in Addu City, the Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, stated that the encouragement gained from the outcome has further solidified their commitment to stand firmly with President Dr. Muizzu for the 2028 presidential election.
Although the MDP candidate, Abdulla Sodiq, secured the seat by a margin of 62 votes, Abdul Raheem highlighted that the PNC candidate, Ahmed Saeed, led the polls at the ballot boxes located within Hithadhoo, describing it as a significant achievement. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude and commended the constituents who voted for the PNC candidate, as well as the campaign teams for their dedicated efforts.
