A 53-year-old Spanish national has tragically passed away following a drowning incident while surfing at the “Blue Bowl” surf break near GDh. Vaadhoo. The incident occurred this afternoon, and the individual was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Vaadhoo Health Center. The Maldives Police Service is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
