Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced a tender to recruit an experienced project management consultancy firm for the development of the Multi-Purpose Commercial Port in Thilafushi. This initiative aims to alleviate congestion at the Malé Commercial Port and enhance operational efficiency. Interested parties are invited to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) by the 15th of this month. Major components of the project have already been contracted to MTCC and China’s CHEC. With a target to commence operations by November next year, the completion of this port will facilitate the relocation of 80 percent of Malé Port’s services to Thilafushi.
