President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the government is prioritizing the search for the Italian nationals who went missing while diving in Vaavu Atoll. Extending his condolences to the President and the people of Italy following the incident, the President expressed his gratitude to the Italian government for their cooperation in the ongoing search operation. Although one out of the five individuals initially reported missing has been located, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) is continuing its relentless search efforts to find the remaining four divers.
