
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has cast his ballot in the ongoing elections to elect city mayors and council members, alongside a referendum to determine public opinion on holding presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously.
The President cast his vote at the polling station designated for the Maafannu South constituency, located at Thaajuddeen School.
Speaking to the media after casting his vote, President Dr. Muizzu emphasized that voting is a constitutional right granted to every citizen and urged everyone to fulfill this civic responsibility.
Polling commenced at 8:00 AM today and is scheduled to continue until 4:00 PM. The Elections Commission has established a total of 588 polling stations across the Maldives. Each voter is provided with three separate ballot papers, and instructions have been issued to ensure each ballot is placed in its respective designated box. The Elections Commission has also ensured that convenient arrangements are in place at all polling centers to facilitate a smooth voting process.
