Ibrahim Shujau, the Vice President of the People’s National Congress (PNC), has issued a firm response to critics of the party’s membership recruitment efforts, specifically addressing Mustafa, a close associate of former President Yameen. Shujau asserted that membership recruitment for the PNC is conducted strictly within legal boundaries without any form of coercion, emphasizing that no individual will face job dismissal for declining to join the party. He further stated that the PNC is the party with the most “legitimate members,” citing the absence of any complaints regarding individuals being registered without their consent. Additionally, Shujau criticized Mustafa, suggesting that those who prioritized personal interests over party responsibilities while in power lack the necessary understanding of how to manage a political party effectively.
