The Elections Commission has announced that 41,162 individuals cast their votes by 10:00 AM today, following the commencement of polling at 8:00 AM for the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections, alongside a public referendum. The current voter turnout comprises 16,166 women and 24,996 men. A total of 294,876 citizens are eligible to vote in these elections, with 588 polling stations established across various regions of the Maldives. Polling is scheduled to continue until 4:00 PM this afternoon.
