To revitalize the noble tradition of mutual respect within Maldivian society, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to launch a five-year national project under the theme “Joy of Respect – Benefit of Society” and to observe an annual “National Respect Day.” While the launch date of the project has been designated as the official day of observance, the Cabinet has further advised the establishment of a specialized nine-member committee, including relevant ministries and Public Service Media (PSM), to coordinate these efforts.
