Chief Justice Al-Usthaadh Ahmed Muthasim Adnan has stated that the implementation of the Magistrate Court Regulations, effective from the first of October, will mark the conclusion of an 18-year hiatus. The Chief Justice made these remarks during a staff training program held in L. Gan.
Highlighting the necessity of ensuring a seamless transition, the Chief Justice urged the Chief Judicial Administrator to prioritize staff orientation and the provision of essential resources and infrastructure required for the effective enforcement of these regulations. Furthermore, he noted that discussions would be held with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) regarding the newly introduced Registrar positions. The Chief Justice emphasized that these regulations will standardize court procedures and significantly contribute to the professional development of judicial staff.
