In an official ceremony held to mark this year’s National Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu presented the “National Award of Recognition” to eight individuals and one company in appreciation of their significant contributions to national development.
The ceremony, hosted in HA. Utheemu, saw awards presented across various sectors, including religion, literature, history, healthcare, infrastructure development, technology, sports, and the arts. Additionally, a special posthumous award was conferred in memory of the late renowned coach, Ihsan Abdul Ghanee.
The National Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Government to recognize and encourage the dedicated service of individuals and institutions towards the nation’s progress.
