The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced a tender to seek a party to develop a new office building in Hulhumale’ under a contractor financing model. This project aims to enhance the security of the national treasury and address existing space constraints. Spanning an area of 8,064 square meters, the facility will feature administrative spaces, specialized currency management systems, a conference hall, and dedicated units for financial institutions. Under the proposed financing structure, the contractor is expected to finance 85-90% of the project, with the remaining portion covered by the MMA. Interested parties are invited to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) by the 11th of next month.
