According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, the Maldives has recorded over 1.4 million tourist arrivals so far this year. This figure represents a 3.8 percent decline compared to the same period last year. With a daily average of 6,005 arrivals, China and Russia remain the leading source markets. Of the total arrivals, over one million tourists opted to stay in resorts. Currently, there are 1,321 operational tourist facilities in the Maldives, offering a total capacity of 68,494 beds.
