President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the government’s development initiatives are being implemented through a holistic framework that ensures a seamless integration of infrastructure growth and environmental sustainability. A key priority for the administration over the next two years is the completion of major projects focused on nationwide waste management, coastal protection, the expansion of renewable energy, and an extensive greening initiative across the islands.
The President further emphasized that during essential development projects, such as land reclamation, special focus will be placed on coral restoration and the mitigation of environmental impacts. He noted that these comprehensive efforts would position the Maldives as a leading global role model in environmental conservation and stewardship.
