
At the invitation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives next Monday for a two-day official visit. This marks the first visit by a Malaysian Prime Minister to the Maldives in nine years. During the visit, high-level discussions will be held to strengthen bilateral ties, and several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed across key sectors. Additionally, senior government officials are scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Anwar’s visit to the Maldives follows his attendance at the BRICS Summit in India.
