
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the administration aims to complete a significant number of housing projects by mid-2028. Under this initiative, preparations are underway to launch housing developments across various islands through foreign assistance and the Bank of Maldives, while previously stalled projects have already been resumed.
The President specifically noted that the agreement for the construction of 400 housing units in Kulhudhuffushi City is expected to be finalized within this week. Furthermore, physical work on housing projects in the Greater Malé Region is scheduled to commence next month. President Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his housing pledges during the current term, aiming to provide a permanent solution to the housing challenges faced by the citizens.
