An international seminar focused on the financial sustainability of social protection systems and the enhancement of institutional capacity has commenced at Crossroads Maldives. The seminar, jointly organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and the Maldives Pension Administration Office, was inaugurated by the Attorney General, Honorable Ahmed Usham. This two-day event brings together delegates from across the Asia-Pacific and Eurasia regions.
The seminar primarily addresses the challenges faced by social protection systems due to aging populations and shifting labor market dynamics. Furthermore, experts will share insights and strategies on expanding social security coverage, preventing fraud, and leveraging digitalization to streamline administrative processes and alleviate financial burdens. This meeting serves as a significant platform for regional knowledge exchange and the further strengthening of social protection frameworks.
