State Minister for Housing, Ahmed Nazim Mohamed, has announced that the housing units under the current administration’s inaugural project are scheduled for completion and handover by August 2028. In addition to the flats being developed in Hulhumalé, construction for 4,000 units in Gulhifalhu and another 5,000 units within the Malé region will commence this year, totaling 13,000 housing units. Furthermore, the verification process for over 58,000 housing applications is currently underway, with the final list of beneficiaries for both flats and land plots expected to be released by mid-December.
