The services of the world-renowned shipping giant, “Evergreen Line,” have been officially introduced to the Maldives through the Maldives State Shipping (MSS). The service was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Economic Development and Trade, Abdul Latheef.
Under this strategic partnership, Maldivian businesses will benefit from enhanced logistics and streamlined cargo importation from across the globe, with a particular focus on strengthening the supply chain from China. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the Maldivian economy and the national shipping industry.
MSS currently maintains robust partnerships with global shipping leaders such as Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd. The addition of Evergreen Line as a partner further bolsters the country’s maritime connectivity and freight transportation capabilities. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader objective to resolve existing challenges at the commercial ports and to fortify the entire maritime sector through strategic international alliances.
