President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially established the “Office for Maldivian Territories” as an agency functioning under the President’s Office. As outlined in this year’s Presidential Address, the primary objective of this office is to address and resolve issues pertaining to the nation’s territorial boundaries. Furthermore, the office is tasked with the sustainable management and determination of maritime baselines and coordinates. The President’s Office is currently in the process of recruiting personnel and finalizing the necessary administrative arrangements to commence the office’s operations.
