Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the decision to discontinue the “cross-border” fee previously applied to debit card withdrawals from ATMs abroad, effective from tonight. This fee was originally implemented to cover costs associated with international payment networks. The abolition of this charge will provide substantial relief to students and their families, enabling those studying overseas to fully utilize their monthly limit of $1,200 without incurring any additional transaction costs.
