ADh. Atoll Welcomes Over 60,000 Tourists So Far This Year

The Maldives has seen a significant influx of over 600,000 tourists so far this year, with China emerging as the leading source market. According to the latest statistics, Kaafu Atoll remains the most popular destination among visitors. Alifu Dhaalu (ADh.) Atoll secured the second position, hosting over 60,000 tourists, while Raa Atoll followed as the third most visited region. In contrast, Thaa, Faafu, and Haa Dhaalu Atolls recorded the lowest number of tourist arrivals.

Regarding accommodation preferences, a substantial 69% of tourists opted to stay in resorts, while the remaining visitors stayed in guesthouses, hotels, and safari vessels. Currently, the Maldives’ tourism sector has expanded its operational capacity to over 64,000 beds.
