
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that it completed 9 projects and started work on 64 new projects during the second quarter of this year.
According to MTCC’s second quarter financial report, the company was engaged in 313 projects during this period. Additionally, 35 new projects were awarded to the company.
Among the 9 projects completed in the last quarter were land reclamation and coastal protection projects, as well as harbor and airport as harbor and airport development projects. Road construction and building projects were also among those completed by MTCC during this quarter.

Out of the 313 ongoing projects, 87 were construction projects, 71 were harbor development projects, and 32 were land reclamation projects.
MTCC has made significant efforts over the past year to improve work quality and efficiency. As a result, the company reports that its land reclamation capacity has increased by 29% per day.
According to MTCC’s financial report, the company earned a revenue of 490.3 million rufiyaa during this quarter. After tax deductions, MTCC’s net profit stands at 27.9 million rufiyaa.
