President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that everything done for the Maldivian military and police is essentially done for the nation and every Maldivian citizen. He made these remarks while speaking at a special ceremony held to meet with the Maldivian military and police in connection with Independence Day.
Meeting with the Maldivian military and police, President Dr. Mohamed Muiz. Mohamed Muizzu said that the highest responsibility for protecting, defending, and passing on independence to future generations lies with the police and military. He also stated that the Maldives is a country with a proud, long history of independence, and that the national security forces have played a significant role in defending this independence.
“One of the government’s top priorities should be to prioritize providing what is needed for the personnel serving these two institutions to advance the military and police forces. That is this government’s policy. I have been working towards this from the very first day. I see this as an honor bestowed upon me. And I see it as my responsibility,” said President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
