A British Navy F-35B jet landed at Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram airport on June 14 due to low fuel and bad weather. Although it was expected that the jet would soon resume its journey back to HMS Prince of Wales, hydraulic issues were identified after landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport, preventing the jet from taking off.

As the jet has been grounded at Thiruvananthapuram airport for nearly a month, it has now gained unexpected fame. Taking advantage of the jet’s prolonged stay, the Department of Tourism for Kerala has prepared a special advertisement featuring a photo of the jet. The poster, believed to be created using AI, shows the military jet parked on the airport runway. The poster includes a review in the form of a tourist’s comment, expressing the jet’s opinion about Kerala. Giving Kerala five stars, the jet says that Kerala is an excellent place and that it doesn’t want to leave Kerala. It also recommends others to visit Kerala.

This humorous photo has now become popular on social media. Many people have greatly appreciated the creative advertisement made by the tourism department. Now, many are creating various funny posts including this jet. One such poster shows the warplane enjoying Kerala’s famous ‘banana chips’ with a group of locals. Another poster includes the jet in a scene of tourists spending their vacation in Kerala. The jet is even receiving marriage proposals.

Kerala’s approach of turning a defense emergency into such a humorous situation and making full use of it has also caught global attention.
