Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has participated in a banquet hosted by King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia. The Vice President attended the banquet during his ongoing visit to Spain to participate in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development held in the country. The President’s Office stated that the Vice President took part in the banquet given by King Felipe and the Queen in honor of the leaders who arrived in Spain to attend the Financing for Development Conference.
The Vice President departed for Spain last Saturday. The conference is scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 3 in Seville, Spain. The Vice President is set to participate in the opening session of the conference and deliver a statement at the plenary meeting. Additionally, he is scheduled to take part in thematic sessions with stakeholders, where he will highlight the financial reform efforts being undertaken by the Maldives.
