According to Maldives Ports Limited’s (MPL) financial audit report, the company experienced a substantial increase in both revenue and net profit last year compared to 2024. Net profit rose significantly from MVR 27.8 million to MVR 59.9 million, while total revenue reached MVR 949.9 million. The primary drivers of this revenue growth were stevedoring and pilotage services. Notably, the highest revenue from individual corporate clients was generated through services provided to Maldives State Shipping (MSS). Furthermore, while the company successfully reduced employee-related expenses, losses incurred by the Kulhudhuffushi Port increased to MVR 11.5 million. The Auditor General confirmed that MPL’s financial statements have been prepared in accordance with international accounting standards.
