The Cabinet has decided to launch a nationwide campaign to raise awareness regarding the hazards of tobacco and nicotine. This initiative will involve appointing representatives from every island and engaging civil society organizations, youth associates, and sports figures to broaden the campaign’s reach. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will collaborate to enforce the generational ban through educational institutions. The Cabinet also established a policy aiming to ensure that participation in national teams is exclusively reserved for tobacco-free athletes.
