The Cabinet has decided to launch a nationwide campaign to raise public awareness regarding the dangers of tobacco and nicotine. As part of this initiative, a focal point will be designated in every island, and the campaign will be expanded through the active involvement of civil society organizations, youth associates, and the sporting community. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will collaborate to implement the generational ban through schools. The Cabinet has also resolved to work towards a policy where participation in national sports teams is reserved exclusively for athletes who lead tobacco-free lives.
