Aishath Naura, a prominent figure in Maldivian netball, has been conferred the National Award of Recognition for her significant contributions to the sports sector. Having excelled in netball since her school years, Naura represented the Maldives national team starting in 1996, participating in numerous international competitions. Beyond her playing career, she has completed extensive coaching and umpiring training both domestically and internationally, playing a pivotal role in developing young talent, officiating matches, and organizing tournaments. Furthermore, she has rendered invaluable service to the governance of the sport, having held key leadership positions including Secretary General and Technical Director of the Netball Association of Maldives.
