The Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihsan, has emphasized that building a population proficient in and capable of safely utilizing emerging technologies is crucial for national progress. Launched under the “Maldives 2.0” roadmap, the “Digital for All” campaign is a national initiative aimed at enhancing the digital skills of citizens and fostering economic and social benefits. The Minister highlighted that the establishment of infrastructure alone is insufficient to transform a nation; rather, empowering citizens with the capability to utilize these resources productively remains the most significant investment. This three-year nationwide project aims to ensure inclusivity, fostering a “Digital First” nation where everyone is well-versed in modern technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).
