The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has stated that efforts are underway to identify and resolve the challenges faced by educators in the Maldives. As part of this initiative, the Commission conducted meetings with schools in the Greater Male’ Area to better understand their concerns. Key issues identified include difficulties related to ranking and promotions under the new pay framework, as well as concerns regarding overtime compensation and work during public holidays.
To ensure a swift resolution to these matters, the CSC is currently engaged in discussions with the National Pay Commission and the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, the Commission emphasized its commitment to addressing similar professional challenges encountered by both teachers and nurses.
