According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, tourist arrivals to the Maldives have shown a significant upward trend since the beginning of July. During the first four days of this month, the Maldives welcomed 22,636 tourists, marking a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the daily average of arrivals has risen to 5,000 this month, a notable surge from the average of 3,000 recorded in the previous month.
China currently stands as the leading source market for tourists visiting the Maldives, with Russia following in second place. With total arrivals for the year already exceeding one million, the government remains committed to its extensive efforts to further develop and promote the tourism sector, even amidst various international challenges.
