Badhrudheen Hassan, the CEO of SME Digital, has stated that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the Maldivian economy. To commemorate MSME Day, “MSME Fest 2026” is scheduled to be held at HulhumalĂ© Central Park, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Business Center Corporation (BCC). Additionally, a special telethon is being broadcast via PSM, while the “Tag Your Favorite MSME” social media campaign and the “CaptureMSME” photography competition have also been launched. Furthermore, there are plans to conduct an awareness program specifically targeted at businesses in K. Huraa.
