On the occasion of the Islamic New Year, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his congratulations to the leaders of Islamic nations as well as to the people of the Maldives.
In his message, the President highlighted that this is a time for reflection — both on oneself and on the state of society — and an opportunity to strengthen unity and compassion within communities. He offered prayers for peace and prosperity for the Muslim Ummah, and called upon the Maldivian community to revive the spirit of brotherhood and mutual support exemplified by the Ansar and Muhajireen of Madinah.
Furthermore, the President urged the public to make a firm commitment to turn away from wrongdoing and to embark on a personal journey toward righteousness — drawing on the very essence of Hijra as a migration toward what is good and virtuous.
