The number of tourist arrivals from Russia to the Maldives has seen a significant increase of 21% so far this year compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 130,414 visitors. With this growth, Russia has solidified its position as the second-largest source market for the Maldivian tourism industry. China currently leads the market as the top contributor, while the United Kingdom ranks third.
To date, the Maldives has welcomed a total of 966,593 tourists this year. While this figure represents a slight decrease compared to the previous year, there has been a notable upward trend in arrival numbers recently. Currently, there are 1,284 tourist facilities in operation across the country, with a total bed capacity exceeding 67,000.
