The Thoddoo Island Council has officially decided to suspend all sporting activities at the island’s facilities during prayer times. Under this new regulation, sports venues will remain closed for a duration of 30 minutes for each prayer. Furthermore, activities are strictly prohibited daily from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Fridays from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
This decision aligns with the government’s policy to ensure that sporting activities are paused during prayer times and that arrangements are facilitated for prayer within sports environments. To ensure full compliance with these directives, the Council has appointed dedicated personnel to monitor the facilities during the specified hours.
