Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, has stated that the government is undertaking significant efforts to safeguard the rights of workers and address the challenges they encounter. In this regard, the Minister highlighted several initiatives aimed at valuing the workforce, including facilitating housing opportunities for resort employees within their respective regions, establishing mechanisms to ensure immediate payment for fishermen’s catch, and the ongoing work to harmonize salaries across the civil service and other sectors.
The Minister further emphasized that government policies are being formulated in alignment with the needs and sentiments of the workforce. He also provided assurance that the government remains committed to protecting workers’ rights and providing modern facilities and resources to support them in the future.
