The land reclamation project in Lh. Naifaru, spanning 44.8 hectares, has reached a significant milestone with 95% of the sand filling works now complete. Managed by MTCC, the overall progress of this MVR 679 million project stands at 70%. In addition to land reclamation, the project scope includes extensive coastal protection measures using rock boulders. As the government develops Naifaru as an urban center, this newly reclaimed land is designated to address housing needs and create diverse economic and social opportunities for the growing population. This strategic infrastructure project is scheduled for completion within a two-year timeframe.
